Frome Valley Quilting
Frome Valley Quilting is a Long Arm quilting service situated
in the village of Frampton Cotterell, a few miles north of Bristol
in the West of England. Quilting is done on a Gammill Classic
quilting machine with the addition of an Intellistitch stitch
regulator. The machine, complete with 14-foot long table which can
accommodate the largest of quilts, is inside my home in a smoke- and
pet-free environment.
Services available are
- Custom Quilting - This is where the quilting is uniquely
tailored to the design of the quilt. Medallions and block
designs together with free-handing may be used.
- Pantograph Designs - These are patterns designed to
interlock and form beautiful all-over effects. There are many
to choose from and more are being produced all the time. (see patterns)
- Binding - Full or half (see hints)
- Basting - Hand quilters may take advantage of this to avoid
the stress of pinning or hand basting. Stitches are large and
easy to remove, done in vertical and horizontal rows about 4" apart.
